Database technology forms the foundation of several RSS and other collaborative technologies. A wiki, for example, is built on a database that has been designed for knowledge management. You might note that the wiki may also have an RSS component so that modifications to the wiki database may be syndicated (publicized). Database is also used in other collaborative technologies such as blogs and forums, where the postings are stored in a database.
